We believe comfort starts with people – from those who make our products to those who wear them, and everyone in-between.

Globally, HanesBrands aims to positively impact the lives of at least 500,000 people per year. We will do this by:

  • Supporting our global employee base, and those of our suppliers, through a broad range of programs inlcuding education; health and wellness; and diversity and inclusion

  • Maintaining robust ethical sourcing practices and remaining committed to human rights and responsible sourcing

  • Supporting our communities focussing on the themes of Comfort, Inclusion and Health

Caring for the planet is essential for creating a more comfortable world – now and for future generations.

HanesBrands has set reduction targets for our emissions through the Science-Based Targets Initiative. We are aiming at:

  • Reducing 50% of our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030

  • Reducing 30% of our Scope 3 emissions by 2030

We are also aiming at:

  • Using 100% renewable electricity where reasonably possible in our owned operations through direst investment and renewable energy credits by 2030

  • Working with key facilities to complete Higg FEM and inlcude scores in our facility evaluations (Tier 1 and 2)

All reduction goals are off a 2019 baseline.

Creating products that are better for people and the planet starts with thoughtful design and responsible choices.

By 2030, HanesBrands aims to:

  • Use 100% preferred cotton in our products. We define preferred cotton as U.S. grown, Australian grown, organic, recycled or sourced through reputable sustainable cotton certification programs

  • Progressively embed circularity across our business model, including circular design principles, minimising waste across the value chain, and engaging in industry partnerships.

  • Eliminate single-use soft plastics in our product packaging, where possible, and work towards reducing specific problematic packaging components.
