Chief Executive Officer and Group General Manager, Underwear
David assumed the position of President and Managing Director of Hanes Australasia following the company’s acquisition by Hanes in July 2016, having previously held the dual role of Chief Executive Officer (since August 2014) and Group General Manager, Underwear (since January 2015) of Pacific Brands. David joined the company in June 2009 as Chief Financial and Operating Officer. Prior to his appointment, David spent five years at Foster's Group, most recently, as Chief Strategy Officer where his responsibilities included corporate strategy, business development, financial planning and analysis and operational performance improvement. David has a strong background in the financial sector, having held senior consulting roles with McKinsey & Company and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Chief Financial Officer
David is a Chartered Accountant who joined Hanes Australasia in 2008 as Group Corporate Accountant. Since then David has held a number of Corporate Finance roles including Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis and Group Financial Controller, and was appointed as CFO in 2014. Prior to joining Hanes Australasia, he spent 8 years at Deloitte in assurance and advisory services in Melbourne and London.
General Counsel & Company Secretary
John assumed the position of Deputy Legal Counsel of Hanes Australasia in [July 2016], having previously held the position of General Counsel and Company Secretary (since December 2003) of Pacific Brands (and the same role with the company’s predecessor, Pacific Brands Holdings Pty Ltd, since December 2001). In 2012 John added management of the Company’s infrastructure team to his role. Prior to joiningthe company, he held senior corporate legal roles with Ansell Limited (formerly Pacific Dunlop Limited) and Rio Tinto Limited, following an eight-year career with a major Australian law firm, which included two roles based in South-East Asia.
Group General Manager, Sheridan
Paul joined Hanes Australasia in 2003 as Marketing Director of Bonds and Berlei. He progressed to the role of General Manager of Bonds and was then appointed to the role of General Manager Sheridan in 2008. Prior to joining the Company, Paul held leadership roles in some of the world’s leading creative agencies including General Manager of Saatchi & Saatchi and Managing Partner at The Campaign Palace. During that time, Paul was an integral part of the team that reinvented and repositioned the Bonds brand.
Group General Manager, Human Resources
Sandra joined Hanes Australasia in July 2005 as Recruitment Manager. Since then Sandra has held numerous leadership roles spanning People Leadership, Talent Management, Learning and Development and Human Resources Management. Sandra’s remit includes leading Human Resources for the Underwear operating group and driving the HR strategic agenda across Hanes Australasia as a whole. Prior to joining the company, Sandra held senior HR roles with TXU in Melbourne and Sapient, a global technology consulting firm, in Germany and the UK.
Group General Manager, IT & Operations
Tom joined Hanes Australasia in 1990, since which time he has held senior roles across Information Technology and Logistics. Tom was appointed to lead the Integrated Services Group in 2005 which is responsible for accounting services, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and information technology. Throughout his tenure, Tom has led numerous business integrations covering acquisitions, company-wide platform consolidations, customer interfaces and major supply chain transformations.
Group General Manager, Sourcing & Supply
David joined Hanes Australasia in 1995 as Manufacturing Manager of Jockey. Since then David has held various roles within the Company and in 2015 was appointed Group General Manager of Sourcing and Supply. David oversees Customer Service, Demand Management, Costing, Supplier Management, Sourcing, Logistics and our factory in Indonesia. David has been the driving force in implementing Lean across the Group.
General Manager, Business Development
Joanne joined Hanes Australasia in 2011 and has held senior roles across investor relations, finance, strategy and corporate development. Prior to joining the company, Joanne was a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers with 13 years experience in Transaction Services (M&A) and Audit across the UK, US and Australia. Joanne oversees group wide business development including corporate strategy, M&A, integration and communications.
